NORTH Engineering Ltd. was founded in 1990 in Subotica. Starting as a firm with three employees, built on expertise, responsibility, and dedication to quality, we have grown into one of the leading design companies in Serbia. Today, our team consists of around 40 engineers and professionals from various fields who participate in the realization of complex projects throughout Serbia and the region. More than three decades of experience, continuous professional development, and commitment to every project have enabled us to build long-term partnerships and earn the trust of numerous investors and business partners.
The strength of NORTH Engineering lies in its multidisciplinary team, bringing together architects, structural engineers, plumbing engineers, technicians and financial experts under one roof. For other disciplines—including electrical, mechanical, traffic, and fire protection engineering—we rely on a network of long-term and trusted external partners with whom we have built enduring professional relationships based on mutual trust and shared quality standards.
The synergy between our in-house team and external partners enables us to approach every project comprehensively—from urban planning and architectural design to structural and building systems. Our clients benefit from a fully integrated service, eliminating the need to coordinate multiple companies and consultants, as all project-related services are managed through a single point of contact.
Approximately 75% of NORTH Engineering’s project portfolio consists of industrial and logistics facilities—a sector that presents some of the most demanding technical challenges. Production plants, warehouse facilities and logistics centers require engineers who understand not only construction and engineering principles, but also the technological processes that take place within these facilities.
Years of experience in this field have provided our company with specialized expertise that cannot be acquired overnight. This knowledge enables us to deliver efficient, functional, and technically advanced solutions that meet the specific requirements of modern industrial and logistics operations—an advantage that investors consistently recognize and value.
In addition to industrial and logistics facilities, our company has extensive experience in the design of residential and commercial buildings, public facilities, retail parks, hypermarkets, and supermarkets. Each of these segments comes with its own specific requirements—from the demands of modern living spaces, through the complex technical standards of public buildings, to the commercial imperatives of the retail sector. NORTH Engineering Ltd. was founded.
After year 2000, with renewed construction development in Serbia, NORTH has fully profiled as a Design & Permitting company conducting overall design, permitting and supervision, including all disciplines, and practically at the whole territory of Serbia.
One of the key projects in the company's development was the design of the “Rodić M&B” brewery and hypermarket complex in Novi Sad. Implemented in two phases and covering a total area of approximately 83,500 m², the project combined industrial and commercial facilities with demanding technical requirements. The experience gained through this project contributed to the company's further growth and the expansion of its range of services.
Following the first major design steps, NORTH became involved in projects for international companies that were establishing or expanding their operations in Serbia. Among the first greenfield investments in which we participated were projects for Ball Packaging Europe, Trimo Engineering, and Metro Cash & Carry.
From 2008 onwards, the company’s portfolio expanded through cooperation with investors such as ContiTech, Fiat Serbia, Grundfos, Swarovski, Sika Srbija, and Stop Shop, across projects of various purposes in the industrial, manufacturing, and commercial sectors. In the following years, we were also involved in major logistics and industrial projects, including the Delhaize distribution center and Tigar Tyres.
The company’s development continued through cooperation with investors such as Lidl, ZG Lighting, Boysen, the Construction Directorate of Serbia, MIND Park, CTP, and numerous other domestic and international companies that have implemented investments in Serbia.
The company continued to participate in the realization of significant investments in Serbia through cooperation with investors such as Brose, Toyo Tire, Hansgrohe, BIG CEE, Nelt Properties, Atlantic Štark, and Hornbach. During this period, numerous industrial, logistics, office, and commercial projects were delivered for both domestic and international clients.
Each of these companies brought with them high standards, strict deadlines, and specific technical requirements — precisely the kind of environment in which we perform at our best. Working with international clients has further improved the company’s internal processes, raised the standards of design documentation, and built a team that today communicates on equal footing with the most demanding investors in the region.
